Managing Fields

  1. Navigate to Settings
  2. Select Custom Fields
  3. Choose the entity type

Entering Values

Custom field values appear in a dedicated tab on each detail page:

  • Contacts → Custom Fields tab
  • Inventory → Custom Fields tab
  • Transactions → Custom Fields tab

Best Practices

  • Use consistent naming across your team
  • Keep names concise but descriptive
  • Create fields for data you track on most records
  • Mark customer-relevant inventory fields as Public
  • Review and remove unused fields periodically
