Vehicle Interests
Connect each shopper to the vehicles they are considering for more useful follow-up.
Vehicle interests help your team remember exactly what a shopper wants. Add a vehicle once and the connection appears on both the contact and vehicle.
Add a vehicle interest
- Open Contacts and choose the contact.
- Open General.
- Find Interest.
- Select the add action.
- Search for and choose a vehicle.
The vehicle now appears in the contact's Interest list and the contact appears on the vehicle.
Remove a vehicle interest
- Open the contact's General tab.
- Find the vehicle in Interest.
- Open its actions.
- Select the remove action and confirm.
This removes only the connection. It does not delete the contact or vehicle, and it does not change the vehicle's status.
Interests from the storefront
Shoppers can select vehicles on your storefront before submitting their contact information. DealerSpot connects the Listed vehicles from that dealership location to the new Lead. A returning shopper using the same browser may update their earlier storefront contact.
A new storefront submission replaces the contact's current Interest list with the valid vehicles selected in that submission.
Use notes to preserve earlier conversations
If a shopper changes their selections, add a note when your team needs to remember vehicles that were discussed earlier.
Test-drive requests
When a storefront submission includes a test-drive time, DealerSpot adds a one-hour Pending Test Drive event to the shared Calendar. It connects the contact and the selected Listed vehicles.
Open Calendar to manage the appointment. Add a contact note if the team needs the request to stay visible in the contact's Activity list.
Make interests useful in daily follow-up
- Check a vehicle's current status and asking price before contacting the shopper.
- Keep the list focused on vehicles the shopper is still considering.
- Add a note when their priorities change.
- Remove old interests without deleting the contact or vehicle.
