Post Vehicles to Facebook Marketplace
Move prepared DealerSpot vehicles into Facebook Marketplace with less repeated typing.
Marketplace posting checks your vehicle information and opens Facebook for one selected vehicle at a time. You can send listings to Facebook as Drafts for review or ask the extension to publish them.
Before you start
- Install the extension and sign in to DealerSpot through Chrome.
- Confirm Marketplace access in Settings > Plans and Usage.
- Sign in to the Facebook account you use for Marketplace through the same Chrome profile.
- Choose Draft or Published in Settings > Facebook Marketplace inside the extension.
Prepare each vehicle
The extension checks for:
- Year, make, and model
- Asking price and mileage
- Body style, fuel type, and transmission
- A listing title or description
If something is missing, update the vehicle in DealerSpot, refresh Inventory in the extension, and try again.
Published mode also needs an exterior color and at least one usable photo. Draft mode is the best choice for a first test.
Post selected vehicles
- Open Inventory in the extension.
- Confirm the correct dealership.
- Select one or more vehicles.
- Select Post to Marketplace ([count]).
- Review the selection and select Post.
- Keep Chrome open while the extension works through the list.
The extension handles one vehicle at a time. It opens Facebook, fills the supported fields, tries to save or publish the listing, and then moves to the next vehicle.
| Mode | Intended result |
|---|---|
| Draft | Save the Facebook listing for your review |
| Published | Make the listing public on Facebook |
Facebook may ask for extra information or account actions in either mode.
Photos and vehicle details
The extension tries to send up to 20 DealerSpot photos. Each file can be up to 5 MB. A photo may be skipped when it is too large, cannot be opened, or is not a supported image.
DealerSpot matches common values such as body style, fuel type, transmission, condition, and colors to Facebook's choices. Check the final listing because Facebook can change those choices.
Follow the posting progress
- After success, the extension may close the Facebook tab and record the result in the progress view.
- If Facebook asks you to sign in, its tab stays open. Sign in, return to the extension, and restart.
- Other errors appear in the progress view so you can correct the vehicle and try it again.
- A Facebook sign-in error stops the remaining vehicles until access is restored.
Your dealership owns the final review
Check every Facebook Draft or published listing for accurate details and photos. Follow Facebook's current rules and all requirements that apply to your dealership.
Quick fixes
Posting is unavailable
Confirm Marketplace access in Settings > Plans and Usage, check that Facebook is signed in, and reopen the extension.
Required fields are missing
Open each named vehicle in DealerSpot, complete the fields, save, and refresh extension Inventory. If Published mode stops later, check exterior color and the first 20 photos.
Facebook asks you to sign in
Use the Facebook tab left open by the extension. After signing in, return to the extension and start again with the first vehicle that did not finish.
A photo is missing
Check that the DealerSpot image opens and is no larger than 5 MB. The extension uses up to the first 20 photos.
Facebook changed its form
Stop if the filled information looks wrong or incomplete. Review the Facebook form yourself and try again after the extension supports the change.
Only some vehicles finished
Check successful listings in Facebook and read the errors in the extension. Correct the failed vehicles, then select only those vehicles for the next try.
