Storefront SEO
Help search engines and shared links understand your branch, vehicles, and posts.
DealerSpot creates page titles, descriptions, and link previews for your public website. Clear branch, vehicle, and post information gives search engines and shoppers a better description of each page.
Search engines decide whether to show a page and where it appears. No website can guarantee search placement.
Prerequisites
- Configure the branch name, description, address, and public contact details.
- Give listed vehicles complete listing content and images.
- Publish only posts that are ready for the public branch website.
What DealerSpot prepares
DealerSpot prepares search and sharing information for:
- The branch storefront homepage
- Public vehicle detail pages
- Published post pages
- Published legal pages
It also prepares a title, description, and image when someone shares a link.
Improve the branch page
- Open Settings > Branches.
- Choose the branch.
- Write a specific branch name and description in Basic Details.
- Complete the branch address and contact information.
- Upload a clear logo and banner in Branding.
- Save the forms and review the public storefront.
Describe the actual dealership and location in natural language. Avoid repeating the same phrases or making claims you cannot support.
Improve vehicle pages
Open a vehicle and use its Listing section to maintain:
- A clear public title
- A useful, accurate description
- Strong primary and supporting images
- Complete price and vehicle details
- Public custom fields that help a buyer evaluate the vehicle
Only Listed vehicles assigned to the branch appear on its website.
Improve post pages
For each post:
- Use a descriptive title.
- Add a concise description for Blog, News, Review, and Story posts.
- Choose a short, readable page address.
- Add a relevant featured image when appropriate.
- Structure the content with meaningful headings and helpful links.
- Publish it only after checking the correct branch website.
Published Legal posts appear in the website footer. Other published posts appear in Posts.
Support local discovery
Keep the same real-world dealership name, address, and phone information across the storefront and external business profiles. Publish content that answers genuine customer questions and reflects the inventory and services you actually offer.
These steps make the website clearer, but they do not guarantee that a search engine will show it.
Search reporting is not shown in DealerSpot
Use your outside search or website reporting service to measure search traffic. Follow that service's current setup and privacy instructions.
Troubleshooting
A search result shows old text
First check that the public page shows the new information. Search engines may take time to refresh their copy.
A vehicle is not visible to shoppers
Confirm the vehicle is Listed and assigned to the same branch as the storefront.
A post appears in the wrong place
Check its category. Published Legal posts appear in the footer. Other published posts appear in Posts.
A link preview lacks the intended image
Confirm the branch, vehicle, or post has a usable image. Other websites may take time to refresh an older preview.
