Branches
Set up each dealership location, storefront, and team access.
Use branches when your dealership operates more than one location. Each branch can have its own address, contact details, branding, website address, inventory, and posts.
Open Settings > Branches. If you have several locations, choose the branch you want to edit at the top of the page.
Add the location details
Enter the information your team and customers should see:
- Branch name and description
- Dealer number
- Street address, city, county, state or province, postal code, and country
- Main, sales, and service phone numbers
- Main and sales email addresses
- Facebook, Google, Instagram, and X links
Use the address carefully. DealerSpot can use it when working out taxes for Pending transactions.
Check Pending transactions after an address change
After changing a branch address, open affected Pending transactions and confirm the tax details before completing them. Complete and canceled transactions do not update automatically.
Set up the storefront look
Logo and banner
Upload one logo and one banner for the branch. DealerSpot accepts PNG, JPEG, GIF, and WebP images up to 5 MB.
Choose a clear logo and a wide banner. After saving, open the storefront on a phone and a computer to make sure both images look right.
Light or dark appearance
Choose the storefront appearance:
- System follows the visitor's device setting.
- Light always shows the light appearance.
- Dark always shows the dark appearance.
Choose the storefront address
DealerSpot address
Each branch can have a unique address such as:
your-branch.dealerspot.com
The name must be available. If you change it later, update any links your dealership has shared.
Custom domain
If custom domains are available on your plan, enter the domain and save it. DealerSpot then shows the DNS record to add with your domain provider. Keep the DealerSpot address available while the custom domain is being connected.
See Custom Domain for step-by-step instructions.
Add a branch
Owners and Admins can choose Add Branch. The guided setup asks for:
- A branch name and DealerSpot address
- The location address
- Main contact details
Review the information, follow the on-screen confirmation, and check the new branch before adding inventory or inviting staff.
Delete or recover a branch
Your dealership must always have at least one active branch. When more than one is active, an Owner or Admin can delete the selected branch.
A deleted branch stays in Deleted Locations for 30 days. During that time, choose Recover to restore it. Recovery happens as soon as you select it, so confirm that you have the right location first.
Move records before the recovery period ends
After 30 days, the branch is permanently removed. Its vehicles, contacts, transactions, and posts remain, but they no longer have a branch. Reassign any records you want to keep organized.
Assign team members
Changing a person's branch access changes which locations they can work in. It does not move any existing vehicles, contacts, transactions, or posts.
After changing branch access, review the person's assignments and move records separately when needed. See Team Access for details.
